The Farm is in The Best Shape Ever… Thank You All!
As I have driven around Stout Creek Farm this morning I have been thinking about the overall health of the farm: ecosystem, animals, garden, nutritional food, farm organization, homestead operations, communications, profitability, farm trails, farm equipment, and mental health. As a whole, I think it’s the best shape we have ever been in!
By a lot of grace, hard work, luck, laughs, frustrations, love, and tons of help, the farm has grown to nine hundred and sixty acres with five houses. The pastures are full of regeneratively raised cows, goats, sheep, pigs, horses, guard dogs, guard donkeys, broiler chickens, layer chickens, and turkeys alongside a two and a half acre no-toxic chemicals vegetable garden. We feed three farmers markets, one grocery store, one restaurant, one food pantry, a (sort of) farm store, and our whole team of employees.
If you have ever worked on, purchased food from, volunteered, prayed for, supported, shared about or encouraged this little farm we thank you so, very, very much! We are all in this together creating good food, a good earth, and a good life. Every act or even thought has counted!
